ADS1198: How do i test the pace detection

Part Number: ADS1198

I have ADS1198, i need to test pace detection.

What are the changes that i need to do in order to detect the pace.

what addition hardware is required and where will i get it ?

  • Hi md adil,

I see you post several questions at the same time.

My suggestion will be tackle each one by one and step by step.

From my perspective, you need to solve the ECG noises and learn how to use RLD first, which I replied to you in your other two post.

After those fundamental and important features can be improved, we can come back to the PACE as PACE reads in high frequency signals that could include more noises and variation.

Note here first, please refer to datasheet page 54 and 61

"Note that if the output of a channel
connected to the WCT (for example, VLEAD channels) is connected to one of the pace amplifiers for external pace
detection, the artifact of chopping appears at the Pace amplifier output."

"Note that if the output of a channel connected to the WCT amplifier (for example, the VLEAD channels) is
connected to one of the pace amplifiers for external pace detection, the artifact of chopping appears at the pace
amplifier output. Refer to the Wilson Center Terminal (WCT) and Chest Leads section for more detials."

    Thanks.

  • Thanks for the reply.

My plan of action was the same that you also pointed out...

first i will go for noise resolution, then i will test with RLD signal and then afterwards i will go for pace detection.

The reason for several question at a time is due to communication gap. As TI has only communication through forum and it takes around 24 to 48 hours to apply a solution due to time zone difference/holidays etc.

and what if the resolution didn't work in one go, the same problem will linger for longer period of time. I just want to have a plan of action by keeping other factors in mind.

  • Hi,

Understand your need and concerns and please excuse us for that as we are simultaneous supporting high volume of customers.

    Thanks for your patience.

I am putting this ticket on "waiting" before we can solve/improve the noises, ECG and RLD issues.

    Thanks.
