TX7332: SLPA018

Part Number: TX7332
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA211, JFE150,

Hi Team,

Can you have a look at the following customer inquiry, please?

We were pointed to the "slpa018" by TI (www.ti.com/.../slpa018.pdf). We found this very interesting to be able to realize a preamplifier with high input impedance at a bandwidth of <=50kHz...15MHz and have integrated the circuit into the demonstrator. For our application we have changed the circuit to 3.3V.
The schematic is attached (the output circuit is a replacement for the input of the TI-AFE). We would be happy if we could get a comment on our adaptation.

Thank you,

Franz

  • Hi Franz,

Can you give more details as to what application or use-case of TX7332 (32-channel 3-level transmitter with integrated transmit beamformer) the customer is considering?

    Thanks,

    Karthik

  • Hi Karthik, it's for a photoacoustic ultrasonic device.

    Best regards,

    Franz

  • Hi Franz,

I need more information to comment on the customer request -

    1. Can you share the block diagram of the customer system? Any circuit schematic will also be very helpful.

    2. Are they considering this circuit in the transmit path or receive path?

    3. If receive path, what are the specification they are trying to meet in terms of source impedance, max signal swing, signal bandwidth, and noise? TI has a comprehensive list of ultrasound receive AFEs across power, noise, and integration verticals.

    4. If transmit path, do they need a linear amplifier or a pulser. What are the specification they are trying to meet in terms of max/min transmit voltage, max output current, transmit bandwidth?

We can continue the conversation over email if some of these details are sensitive.

    Thanks,

    Karthik
