VSP5612: vsp5612 register config

Part Number: VSP5612

Hi

I have got some problem when I config vsp5612 registers。I hope someone could give me some suggestion。

   the config flow :

   1. after power up delay a few seconds。

   2.write 0x00100 to 0x001, set RST_ALL bit

   3.delay 9ms, wait chip delay.

   4.write 0x20000 to 0x190, hold line_counter.

   5.config other register except XLSYNC_SEL and EN_OUT.

   6.write 0x00400 to 0x002, to all output enable, EN_OUT_1.

7.write 0x10000 to 0x190, set active LS_CNT_RST to activate line counter.

after config I cannot read anything from the register.

is ther any problem?

  • Hi Yu,

    Welcome to E2E.

The behavior you are seeing is not expected.

    1. Do you see same behavior across other VSP5612 devices?

    2. Can you do a SPI read out of register 0x190 after step 4 and confirm that SPI read-write is indeed working?

    3. What is the voltage swing of SPI lines? Using an oscilloscope, can you probe all SPI lines (including SDO/GPIO1 and SDO/GPIO2) after step 7?

    Thanks,

    Karthik

1.There is no response from vsp5612, I have config the REF_AIN output 2.0V, but is still output 1.5V.

2.I try to read out, and the chip output nothing.I probe the SDI and GPIO0/SDO.

3.The SPI line is 3.3V, I have checked the SPI timing by  oscilloscope.

Can I send you the SPI timing by email?

  • Hi Yu,

    1. Have you tried this on more than one VSP5612 device? Do you see the same behavior?

    2. It seems to me that SPI write itself is not happening. I have sent you a mail, can you share your SPI read/write waveforms in that thread?

    Thanks,

    Karthik
