DAC11001B: How to identify DAC11001A vs DAC11001B via software?

Part Number: DAC11001B

I am looking for a way we can query a DAC1001A / B on startup to identify whether it is an A or B part.

It looks like bits 6-4 of CONFIG2 are default 010 for the A and 100 for the B. Is this the best way to identify them via software?
