Hi,
ADS7828 is designed as 2nd source, however, the data format is different from main source. Customer needs a special bit or ID to identify ADS7828 then change calculation. does ADS7828 support vender or unique bit/ bytes to identify?

Hi Alan,
No there is no ID available for this device. How is the customer using the device in their system? There are two address pins that allow the address to be configurable so the customer has to tell the bus to read the ADS7828. Am I missing something here?
If a device with a channel ID is absolutely needed, we do have the ADS7138 which is also an 8channel 12-bit ADC and a 4-bit channel ID. Does this work as an alternate device?

Hi Aaron,
Thanks for your input, need ID bit, not W/R issue. But the layout is fixed, we cannot change at this moment, keep watching. Thanks.
Hi Alan,
Understood. If you need any further support or part recommendation, please let me know.
