Hi,

I have a query regarding Hart communication. Can we interface XTR111 4-20mA output current IC with Dac8740H for Hart communication ?

Hi,

XTR devices can interface with a DAC that has a typical voltage output. The DAC8740H has a HART output, so it is not able to be used with the XTR by itself.

One solution is to add a DAC that has a typical output and connect that to the XTR, where the DAC8740H can be included as well, similar to this reference design.
