Jim,

The project file you provided shows that this project was created by quartus 16.1, but when I open it with quartus 16.1, it will prompt me to upgrade the IP address. I want to know why this happens. 

And I hope to open the original project without changing it.

    Deng,

    A third party developed this firmware for TI. They no longer support firmware development for TI. Below is what we could find from them regarding your questions:

    “Software Used: 2016.1 Quartus Prime Standard Version

     FW is developed and compiled with Quartus Prime 16.1 Standard version and requires Intel JESD204B license for compiling the FW build

    It is preferable to use the same version for further design edits. In case the design is used in a higher Quartus versions, IPs used needs to be upgraded”.

    The only other thing we can provide is documentation the third party vendor created, which is attached.

    If you need further help with this firmware, you will have to consult Intel.
