ADS7128: timing sequence / GPIO status

Hello expert,

My customer would like to know three questions about ADS7128I below, please help on it and thanks!

  • what is the timing sequence for AVDD/DVDD? Could they use main power(not always on) for DVDD and standby power(always on) for AVDD?
  • what is the status on GPIO pin when AVDD/DVDD is not given?
  • Is there issue that AVDD=3.3V and DVDD is off?

    Ann,

    1. There is no required sequence for the supplies.  

    2.  If AVDD/DVDD is not within the specified range, the status of the GPIO is indeterminant.  

    3.  There should not be an issue with keeping DVDD off for an extended time.  However, it would be a good practice to send a general call followed by a software reset once the supplies are in the specified range.  See section 7.4.1 Device Power Up and Reset.
