ADC128S022: minimum sample rate

Hello Team,

why is the min. sample rate limited to 50ksps? Can I also use Fsclk=128kHz which results in 1ksps sample rate? We have other SAR ADC (e.g. ADS795x) which can be sampled almost close to DC.

What kind of errors can we expect when sampling at 1ksps?

Unfortunately I don't have a great answer for this question. My suspicion is that the 50kSPS rate is the slowest speed at which the device was characterized. I do not have any concern with the ADC128S022 operating at 1kSPS, but you may not get full datasheet performance. Also, with SCLK of 128kHz, your sample rate would be 8kSPS assuming you have a continuous clock. Can you keep the MIN 800kHz SCLK and burst mode operate the device @ 1kSPS?

Hello Tom, thanks for quick reply! I will check. Regarding SCLK=128kHz, 8ksps sample rate if just using a single channel, correct? For 8 channels each channel will be sampled at 1ksps, correct?
