Hi team,
Is the only buffer that becomes Enable when /REFBUFEN (pin 20) is set Low the buffer after the StringDAC in the block diagram in 9.2?
If an external reference is used, does /REFBUFEN (pin 20) need to be HIGH?
Sincerely.
Ryu

Hi Ryu,
For the ADS8528, pin 20 controls the four buffers associated with the four input channel pairs. When you are using an external reference, you can connect it to REFIO and you would want to enable the reference buffers. You could also turn off the reference buffers and use the four REFxP inputs if you like. More detail is found in section 9.3.1.7
