ADC088S022: Can ADC088S022 input pin (any pin between IN0 and IN7) be left open when the pin not used?

Could I ask you an additional question as the follow?

Q. After getting your reply, I found out that a similar inquiry was made 9 months ago as the follow.

    The E2E engineer reply was that unused analog input pins can be left floating or grounded. 
    The customer wants to leave unused input pin open (floating)  with 4.7nF capacitor connecting between the INx and GND.  

    The customer has confirmed that the unused input pin voltage is less than VA (analog power supply pin) voltage in any case.
　In this case, can the unused pin be left open (floating)?

I think that you mean used input pin voltage conversion result is affected by unused input pin when the unused pin is open.
Is my understanding correct?

I got a few comments and question from the customer. 
It is no problem for them even if any variation on unused input pin are happened because they don't need unused input pin conversion result.

But it is problem that ADC088022 will be damaged when unused input pin is open. Is there any possibility to be broken the device?

Hi Kazuya,

By CHx I meant any channel, used or not.  If  your customer has no concern, then you can save the cost of the cap and leave the pins float.  You will not damage the ADC088022 in doing so.
