ADS1220: Availability?

Part Number: ADS1220


I have used the ADS1220IRVAT in a new design, now moving into manufacture of a small pre-production test batch. However, we have discovered that the device is now out of stock everywhere and we are unable to get information on stock dates. Is this device still active? Should we redesign to use a different device, or is the ADS1220 likely to become available again within a few weeks?

    Hi Barry,

    I am sorry to hear you are having issues sourcing our ADS1220. I can assure you the device is still very alive and running in very high volume. The supply situation should definitely improve this year with all the capacity expansions we are working on.

    How many units do you need for your pre-production run? If you only need a small amount, then I might be able to help out getting you samples.
    Have you tried buying from TI directly already as well?
    In general it is imperative in this currently capacity constraint environment to place orders for any semiconductors way in advance.

    Thanks for your response, much appreciated. We need 30 for the pre-production batch.

    I haven't tried buying direct from TI - I'll try that now.

    [Later] All variants of the ADS1220 are out of stock at ti.com. We're looking for the ADS1220IRVAR or ADS1220IRVAT.
