Hello,

I am interested on AFE5809 part to use for sonar application.

I have two main design parameters.

1) 24 bit resolution of ADC.

2) The frequency of interest is 50 kHz -/+ 10 kHz bandwidth.

Is there an available part which can satisfy above design parameters or any design suggestion to meet these parameters

Hi Can,

Thanks for reaching out.

The device AFE5809 is has a 14 bit ADC which will not suit your needs.

The maximum resolution ADC in TI Ultrasound AFE is 16 bit with the device AFE58JD48.

Please allow me to connect you with someone from precision ADC team to see if they have such part with 24 bit ADC.

Hello Can,

I suggest looking at either the ADS8900B (20b, 1Msps SAR ADC) or the ADS127L11 (24b, 400ksps delta-sig ADC). Both ADC's can easily support 50kHz -/+10 kHz BW.
