ADS1114: Register read and write value is difference

I help my customer to ask a question.

I am using ADS1114 in our product. When I write config register with value 0x8a83 and when I read back I get 830a. And if the first byte is the last byte it will be equal to 0x0a83. 

Below is the printout, 

00> 0:8:16 _read_CONFIG_ADDRESS 830a00> 0:8:16 _read_CONFIG_ADDRESS rx_data[0] 83, and rx_data[1] is a00,00> 0:8:16 this is write config value, 0x8a83

Can you please help, what could be wrong."
