DAC38RF82EVM: I tested the DAC output waveform for loading external pattern files in three ini file modes, but the waveform effect was not good.

I tried your real data setup with your test patterns and they work fine. See attached. Maybe the issue is with your external clock source. Try generating a NCO only tone to see if the clock is an issue or not. See attached for how to configure the EVM for NCO only mode.

We are looking into this.

Use the Multi-tone generator in the lower left of the DAC GUI and create a 100MHz tone then send it. With the mixer and NCO disabled, you should get a 100MHz tone output that is the same as the 100MHz tone you created with the NCO. If this works, the problem is your custom pattern.

I can generate the same 100MHz sinusoidal signal using HSDC Pro's Multi-tone generator.Is the problem in the custom pattern? How to solve it?

I would say yes.

The imported file must be text format integer value from -32,768 to 32,767 in a single column format if
testing a single DAC. For dual DAC’s, the file must be in 2 columns. For quad DAC’s, 4 columns. The
length can be from 4096 to 512M (single column) in increments of 32 for the TSW1400 and TSW14J5x.
The GUI comes with several example test files that can be found under the following directory: C:\Program Files(86)\Texas Instruments\High Speed Data Converter Pro\Test files.

How are you generating your test tone? What software tool are you using? Try to generate a 100MHz tone instead of a modulated tone to see if you can get a clean 100MHz tone out of the DAC using your method of tone generation.
