Re: VGA converter

Hi All,

I've a GSM module having output types, SPI,I2C,UART & USB.

I want this output data to be displayed in my VGA camera. I'm looking for anyone of the below converters, please help if available in TI.

spi to VGA converter,

UART to VGA converter

USB to VGA converter

Thanks & Regards

Mithun

  • Mithun,

We have various DM video processors with a variety of I/O, scaling, frame buffer support, and integrated DACs, but these might be overkill for your application.

It you need to display only text, icons, ext.,. you may want to look at the MSP430 family of processsors.  The simplest text generator could be made with 3 digital RGB ouputs plus HSync and VSsync.  The 3 RGB outputs could be attenuated to 700mV and treated as analog RGB.   Color depth will be limited, however, with only 3 bits of RGB.  To support more color deppth, a DAC and more digdital outputs would be requried.

The best soution will depend on RGB requirements needed and what you are trying to display.
