DAC81416EVM: converting .mat file to analog output?

Hi Team,

I would like to ask if the device DAC81416EVM, (or AMC7836EVM and AMC7924EVM) can read a file (.mat) and output it as a waveform?. The device needs to be able to take the .mat file as an input coming from the PC and then convert that data to an analog waveform and send it as an analog output through the output channels. Is it possible to do with he mentioned devices?

The DAC81416EVM doesn't have any integration to be able to pull in a .mat file to output it as a waveform. For the most part, the EVM works mostly as a device to output DC voltages. The GUI will take inputs from the high level configuration page or register values written from the low level integration page.

I believe that is the case. I don't know of any EVM that we've done that is able to pull in a .mat file as a source. If the EVM was able to do this, we would include that information in the EVM user's guide.

I have a follow-up question, what file type does the EVM support as input and output as an analog waveform? Can the EVM do this?

We do not have waveform generation as a feature on any of our EVM tools.
