DAC8775: Settling Time

Hi team,

Regarding settling time of DAC8775, with Voltage output -  

  • Are data specified in Electrical Characteristics and Typical Characteristics with slew rate control enabled or disabled? 
    • If slew rate control is enabled, what are the settings used? 
    • If slew rate control is not enabled, is there any data with slew rate control enabled (say with any setting)? 
  • Any settling time data with other RL & CL loading? 
    • Say RL = 3kohm and CL = 0.1uF. 
  • If there is any additional characterization/test data that can be used as reference, you may contact me via email.

    The settling time in the Electrical Characteristics table and in the Typical Characteristics table are all done without the slew rate control enabled. I don't know of any other settling time data for different operating conditions using the DAC8775 that have been recorded and saved.

    I would note that 0.1uF is a bit high for a capacitive load for the output of the DAC8775. The normal maximum capacitive load drive is stable up to 20nF. This load capacitance can certainly be higher by using the external compensation capacitor. The Electrical Characteristics table mentions that the maximum capacitive load drive is stable up to 0.1uF by using a capacitor of 150pF from CAP to VOUT.
