Customer is using TI  tool AFE5832LPTX EVM & HSDC  PRO for accessing the register of TX7332 & AFE5832 ICs and capturing the data from the TI Swaroop board .We have gone through the GUI and its available code. Here,I have mentioned our queries 

 1) Without calling hsdcpro dll ,how to send register via Cypress FX3 to FPGA
2) What is the logic made in HSDCPRO vi to communicate with Cypress FX3
3) By using HSDCPRO vi , AFE5832LPTX GUI  is opened and we configure the Tx,Rx then python configuration file has been created.How the python configuration file getting converted and written into FPGA? What is the logic used for conversion?

 

Please help us with the solution and please share the source code of AFE5832LPTX and HSDC PRO GUI.

Have looped customer as well for direct reply/follow-up queries.

    Thanks for sharing customer's queries regarding the Swaroop Design.

    Please find my response inline:

    1) Without calling hsdcpro dll ,how to send register via Cypress FX3 to FPGA

    TI: We can share you the document which explains how the communication between the FX3 and the FPGA happens in detail. It also provides the information about the command format for the FX3 communication. Please refer to the same and I hope it should clarify the above concerns. Due to NDA restrictions, I will share it to you over the email.


    2) What is the logic made in HSDCPRO vi to communicate with Cypress FX3.

    TI: Refer to the document shared over email. I shall also upload the same document on the MSS (Swaroop Project Server Path) for ease of use for others customers as well.


    3) By using HSDCPRO vi , AFE5832LPTX GUI is opened and we configure the Tx,Rx then python configuration file has been created. How the python configuration file getting converted and written into FPGA? What is the logic used for conversion?

    TI: The flow of writes start from the PC to FX3, then FX3 programs the FPGA regmap to the required fields using proper write commands (explained in the document). The FPGA then programs all the RX and TX devices. The python file just converts the write information into command format to be written onto the FPGA regmap.

    I will send you the document over email. Please share it with the customer.

    Hi Team,

    we got the document, i would like to know the below queries.

    1) What are the libraries imported to write the data to FPGA via FX3 scripts in python?

    2) Is there any data format to read the data from FPGA via Fx3 via parallel interface (GPIF)?

    Please support the same.
