ADS8688: Power-up sequence

Part Number: ADS8688

Daer Team,

Please let me understand the power-up sequence of the ADS8688 between AVDD and DVDD.
There is no description of the power-up sequence in the datasheet. I could only find the following content.

Dose this meen the power-up sequence in which the AVDD rises up before the DVDD?

If the DVDD rises up before the AVDD for a period of a few ms, what are the issues?
The DVDD rises up 3.3V while the AVDD is still lower than 4.75V.
For example, the output data of the ADS8688 would become a fixed value?

I look forward to your reply.
Thank you.

Koshi Ninomiya

  • Hi Ninimiya-san,

Yes, the implication is that DVdd cannot exceed AVdd on the ADS8688.  The supplies can come up together or AVdd should come up first.  The current consumption on the DVdd may not meet the specifications shown in the datasheet if it exceeds AVdd.
