Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AFE5808A, AFE5809, AFE5808
I have recently purchased this evaluation board to test the active impedance matching feature.
As I Started to investigate the way the registers would react to different inputs I wanted to read the States of the registers rather than just trusting it was set the way i asked.
Specifically the datasheet says that the bits of this register would automatically change if a preset was selected but it also says that in order affect some bits of that register you need to enable another one. As i had both been able to change the bits once a preset was selected and if the enable was off i wanted to check the behaviour ouf the AFE when a conflicting configuration would be selected. (here i chose the input impedance preset at 100 Ohms and manually configured the input impedance to be 49 Ohms with both active term resistors and enable additional term resistors ticked)
This leads the register d52 (x34) to equal x177.
So i go to Registers Direct Access and lookup the value of Reg52 and it displays 0.
Not only that any other register gives the value 0 even when just flipping to read mode it displas reg0=2 and by pressing read again it changes to 0.
Yet i can setup my AFE however i want, meaning that the writing feature works well. I think it's just the reading feature that has this issue.
Has anyone encountered this before?
