TX7332EVM: TX7332EVM

Part Number: TX7332EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AFE5832LP, , TX7332

Dear TI specialist,

I hope you are doing great. I'm currently working on an ultrasonic sensor project involving the TX7332EVM, AFE5832LP, and a Xilinx FPGA. The FPGA coding is complete and the prototype assembly is done.

However, I'm encountering an issue with the TX7332EVM's high-voltage pulser circuits. I'm not able to receive the correct RF data and can't perceive the echo from the transducer. The TX7332EVM's GUI parameters, which may need adjustment for echo signal reception, are unclear to me.

Could you possibly assist me in resolving this?

I suspect issues with my PRF or the pulse number, among other things. Any guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Rouzbeh

  • Hi Rouzbeh,

The PRF, number of pulses, the voltage and other parameters related to the pulser are chosen based on the system level requirements (imaging mode, depth of image, type of transducer etc). After the transmit, the pulser device goes into the receive mode. If the AFE is triggered using the SYNC signal given to the TX7332, and the capture window is adjusted based on the above mentioned receive mode, you should be able to see the data corresponding to the echo.

I hope this helps you resolve the issue.
