ADC128D818: Power Consumption

Hi team, 

Based on the 9.2.2.1 equation in the datasheet to compute the power consumption, 

the customer is working in continuous mode while all 8 channels are working. He is not using a Temperature sensor.

Could you please advise what would be the current consumption with Temp sensor and without?

    Hi Victor,

    Thank you for your question! Based on Table 1 in the datasheet, under section 8.4.1, it seems you are operating in Mode 1 when using all 8 channels and no temperature sensor. Based on the Mode 1 values of a and b in Table 18, you can calculate the average supply current using Equation 6. 

    If you are using the temp sensor, you are limited to using 7 channels, in which case you would be operating in Mode 0. You can use the corresponding a and b values in Table 18 to calculate the average supply current using Equation 6 as well. I hope this is helpful.
