DDC264EVM: live plotting/reading of data output

Part Number: DDC264EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DDC232

Hello TI Support,

In my team, we are working in the field of organic printed electronics for medical amplications.

We would like to use the 264EVM for a new demonstrator that uses piezoelectric devices.

the main request is to read the charge measured in real time. Do you have a python script or equivalent to do so? basically sends the data on the Serial port so we can process it or plot it in real time? I wasnt able to find the source code of the FPGA.

we are designing a custom PCB using the DDC232, in which case we will design a costum GUI, but its still under design, so we wanted to do preliminary tests using the dev kit but we dont have experience in using an FPGA.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best regards,

Lina

  • Hi,

Our application engineer handling this part is currently on vacation. So, kindly expect a delay in our response.

I will check with other team members and get a response by June 7.

    Thanks,

    Karthik

  • As Karthik mentioned, apps is ooo but I am 99% sure that the 264 EVM doesn't allow to capture real time data to the PC. At most long string of samples. It doesn't have the HW to buffer the data to match capture with USB speed. It was not designed with that purpose in mind but just to demonstrate the performance/specs of the device.
