ADS1013-Q1: ADS1013-Q1 I2C to ADC

Part Number: ADS1013-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1013,

Hi Teams,

Q1: ADC pin internal resistance in ADS1013 uses common-mode or Differential, What difference between common-mode and Differential?

Q2: Please check ADS1013-Q1 have VOH value.

Thank you so much.

  • Hi Lee,

    The common-mode input impedance as the name suggest is the input impedance on the pins to a common-mode signal (Vcm) applied to the AINP and AINN pins.

    Vcm = (V1 + V2) / 2, where V1 and V2 are the voltages applied to the input pins.

    Similarly, the differential input impedance is the impedance to a differential signal applied to the input pins.

    Vdiff = (V1 - V2), where V1 and V2 are the voltages applied to the input pins.

    If 1 V is applied to both input pins, you can see with the formulas that Vdiff is = 0V, but Vcm = 1V. The common mode-input impedance refers to the input impedance for that Vcm signal.

    The differential input impedance is the input impedance to a differential signal (difference in voltage seen between the input pins).

    AINP refers to AIN0 and AINN refers to AIN1 for the ADS1013.

    Q2: Please check ADS1013-Q1 have VOH value.

    Digital Output High would be what the digital lines are pulled-up to with the pull-up resistor, which should be DVDD.

    Best Regards,

    Angel
