ADS114S08: Is it possible to use ADS114S08 instead of ADS114S06 with same software

Dear Specialists,

My customer is considering ADS114S08 as substitute for ADS114S06.

These are pin compatible.

At the point of control signal, it is possible to use the same control signal ?

    Hi Shinichi,

    The ADS114S08 is the extended function version of the ADS114S06 and can be used as a direct replacement without the need for code changes.  The difference relates to the number of possible analog inputs for the S08 version.  Both the S06 and S08 can be used for GPIO control in the same manner of control.
