Hi,
There are issues for TSW3100 and DAC5681Z.
TSW3100
At start, tftp is not excutable batch file in console window.
DAC5681z
could you provide example file to load in DAC5682z EVM GUI for parameter setting?
Customer will control modulator with 1ns pulse width by 10ns.
Thanks.
Hey David,
Can you confirm they are using a TSW3100 capture card?
This capture card is no longer supported. We now support the TSW1400 capture card for our MSPS devices.
Regards,
Matt
Hi David,
I am looking into this. I will get back to you by Monday (7/24/23)
Thanks,
Eric Kleckner
Hello,
Sorry for the delayed response. The capture card (TSW3100) is no longer support, I would recommend using a more up to date product such as the TSW1400.
Thanks,
Eric
Hello Eric,
Thanks for your reply.
BTW, the customer purchased the TSW3100 by referring to the DAC5681ZEVM user guide below.
The customer was very frustrated that TI could not support the TSW1300 described in the user guide document.
If you have any data or documents that will be helpful to the customer, please provide them.
And please update the user guide.
Regards,
JH
JH,
I'm sorry the customer is frustrated by this as is understandable, but TI.com does not even show the TSW3100EVM anymore as it was obsoleted years ago. I would suggest the customer return the TSW3100EVM to the vendor at which it was purchased. TI simply cannot support the TSW3100EVM because nobody is around from when this device was released.
As others have mentioned above, TSW1400EVM is the direct replacement and should be used instead. For documentation, please refer the customer to using https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/slwu079d/slwu079d.pdf using section 5.1 - Testing a TSW1400 EVM with a DAC3152 EVM for how to use TSW1400EVM with LVDS DAC interface. The steps will be the same however clock rates may differ. When the time comes for support of the DAC5681z and TSW1400EVM, we will be here to support. Again, our apologies for this.
Regards, Chase
