ADS1261EVM: ADS1261 Layout

Part Number: ADS1261EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1261

Dear Sir or Madam,

We want to use the ADS1261 A-D converter in a new project. In their reference design, they have separated the analog ground and digital ground using a point connection. But here is also the possibility to work with +2,5V and -2,5V instead of 5V and GND. Then it is clear that in this case of course a separation of AVSS and DGND must take place. Now the question: Does it make sense with 0V = GND =AVSS and supply AVDD = 5V to physically separate the AVSS from DGND. In most layout seminars it is taught today that it is often worse EMC-wise to separate masses via connection point. What is your opinion especially for the ADS1261?

With kind regards
