ADS1263: 3-Wire RTD Low-Side Reference

Part Number: ADS1263

Hi,

I am using 3-Wire RTD to measure temperature using the ADC2 in a Low-side reference, following section 2.3 of this guide. I am seeing the temperature off by 2°C above the reference temperature. I've measured voltage and resistance and double-checked the math. I'm not sure where the drift is coming from.

- Is there a some design requirements that I need to consider in PCB layout that I may have missed?

RTD Muxes are used to redirect inputs to the ADC.

- R133 is the reference resistor

- ADC 5 is the Ref +, ADC6 is Ref -

- ADC 8 is AIN_Pos, ADC7 is AIN_Neg

- I'm using ADC2 to read RTD

Thanks,

SJ

  • Hi Steven Park,

Have you tried calibrating your system to see if you can remove the error?

FYI your schematic is very complicated and difficult to follow. You might try separating some of the circuits onto different sheets.
