ADS5295EVM: Data converters forum

Part Number: ADS5295EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS5295

The ADC board was made by referring to the circuit diagram of ADS5295EVM.
When I applied 50MHz Single Ended Clock to ADS5295, 50MHz Clock was observed on LVDS P/N Pin at ADC Clock Out.
Then, I tried to read the register by writing 0x0001 to the internal register address 0x01 of the ADC according to the timing chart shown in the ADS5295 Datasheet, but the data returned was all zero.
The SDOUT Pin of the ADC also seems to be tied to 0V.
If I write 0x0000 to Address 0x01, the SDOUT floats, so the ADC seems to recognize the serial command.
I would appreciate any suggestions on what I should check.

  • The issue has been resolved.
I tried to read the initial values of the ADC's internal registers after powering on, but probably the initial values of the registers I read were all zero, so the read values were also zero.
I wrote a value to a random address and then read it, and saw that the value I wrote was read.
    Have a good day.

  • Hi Hank,
