AFE4490SPO2EVM: Compatibility between AFE44090SPO2EVM

Part Number: AFE4490SPO2EVM

Hi! I'm trying to use the AFE4490SPO2EVM board. I tried it with my Windows 10 PC, but the connection was absolutely unstable, most of the time my PC doesn't even recognize the board, so it's impossible to work with it. However, my main objective is to use the board with a Raspberry Pi, could you please assure me that there are no compatibility issues between the board and the Raspberry Pi? I need to acquire data using a python script in the Raspi. Thanks in advance!

  • Hi,

    Sorry to hear that.

May I ask for more details about what you mean by unstable and doesn't recognize?

Did you ever successfully launch the GUI and have the GUI connected to EVM? Or, never?

Any error or failure messages you see?

Could you try a different computer?

    Thanks

  • Hi,

What I mean by 'unstable' is that I could successfully launch the GUI and have the GUI connected to EVM just a few times, but most of the time I can't do it. I'm always trying the same things, I mean I installed the GUI and the drivers and everything so many times, but I'm always doing the same so it's absolutely random that sometimes it gets to work.

By 'doesn't recognize', I mean that when I connect the board to my PC, me that something is being connected, but it's not possible my PC notifies to recognize the device.

In different moments I got two failure messages that I send you attached.

Regarding using another PC, I tried it with another Windows 10 one, and the same happened, and I also tried it with a Mac, and the same unstable connection was reached, sometimes it the board is recognized by the PC, but most of the time it doesn't.
    Kind regards,
    Zakie
  • Hi,

based on this "I could successfully launch the GUI and have the GUI connected to EVM just a few times, but most of the time I can't do it. "

it sounds something wrong - could be USB cable or probably loose connection with the connector or jack on the EVM board.

Could you try a different USB cable?

May I ask when and where did you purchase the EVM?

    Thanks

  • Closing this ticket as I haven't heard update.

    Thanks.
