ADS7040: ADS7040 - Question for /CS and number of SCLK

Hello,

we want to use the ADS7040 in a new application. In the datasheet /CS is active for exactly 10 SCLK-Clocks. We want to use a microcontroller and this microcontroller only support 8 bit / 16 bit / 24 bit / 32 bit transfers. Is it allowed to held /CS low for 16 SCLK Clocks?
