ADS7038-Q1: ADC Offset Calibration

Hi,

I am looking for more information about the ADS7038/ADS7038-Q1 internal offset calibration. The datasheet mentions this functionality and specifies the input offset error post offset calibration, but does not say how this functionality works or how long it takes to perform the offset calibration. If TI can provide more information on what this internal offset calibration is doing, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Alex,

Welcome to our e2e forum! The calibration function works by internally shorting the ADC input to ground an run through the conversion process. The process takes 16uS MAX to finish and can be verified by polling the CAL bit as noted in section 8.3.4. Let us know if you have any further questions!
