    Hi Michael, 

    Please see these two screenshots from the datasheets. The devices use different data formats. Foe example, the DAC7742 outputs 0V at code 0xFFFF and mid-voltage at code 0x7FFF. The DAC7741 outputs 0V at code 0x0000, and mid-voltage at 0x8000.
