ADS1299: Cannot be used, SPI cannot communicate

Just want to confirm the situation right now- 

Now you have

ADS1299EVM but you replaced ADS1299(8Channal)  by soldering the ADS1299-4channels or ADS1299-6channels onto the EVM, correct?

And, right now you see the GUI stuck at the reading registers with the ADS1299EVM that has ADS1299-4 or -6 you soldered/replaced, correct? 

Before you burned the ADS1299(8 channels) chip on the EVM, Have you had the ADS1299EVM with ADS1299(8 channels) working correctly with GUI before?

Yes, EVM uses ADS1299 (8 channels). Because I accidentally burned the chip, I bought ADS1299-4 and ADS1299-6 replacement.

After being replaced, I couldn't use it, and stayed at the interface of the reader register. I bought another ADS1299EVM. After testing the ADS1299EVM and GUI, they could work normally. Then I used the other ADS1299-4 and ADS1299-6 to replace it on the newly purchased board. The phenomenon is still the same.

I think the reason is that the EVM GUI only supports the ADS1299(8 channels chip) not 4 or 6 channels.

But the 4, 6, and 8 channels I see are the same specifications. I can't see the difference in software and in SPI communication. Normally, it should be used normally on EVM.
Is there any difference between chips of different channels?

the difference between chips of different channels are at least

channels # 

output data length, e.g. N channels always output N channels length of data.

So, if the GUI was written to only support 8 channels, then it doesn't support other channels.
