From the post: "based on the datasheet, it would appear that there are some diode connections between AGND and DGND, most likely for ESD purposes, which would conduct if the two nodes were separated by more than 300 millivolts."

They are not directly connected, but they do need to be connected to the same potential outside of the device.

This is a question regarding D_GND:25,30,54 pins.
I think these pins are connected inside the IC.

My mistake, you are correct about pins 25, 30, and 54. They are connected internally.
I thought you were asking about AGND and DGND.
