Check the DAC53202 or DAC53001. They have a built in sine wave generator. One caveat to this solution is that the sine wave needs to be stopped before changing the frequency, and then restarted.

Hi Gareth,

That device does not have an integrated sine wave generator, so I'm assuming they are writing a series of DAC codes to generate the since wave. The DAC53001 (single channel) or DAC53202 (dual channel) would have similar performance to the BH2219FVM. The DAC53x0x have a faster maximum serial clock than the BH2219FVM, so they should be able to recreate the same waveform that they are using with the BH2219FVM.

It looks like the 1k prices between the BH2219FVM and DAC53202 are very similar.

If you do not plan to use the internal sine wave generator, you can consider the DAC43701.
