ADS1015 components, using IIC communication, with a baud rate of 150k, collect two voltage channels AIN0 and GND, AIN1 and GND.
Problem description:
1. When reading the AD conversion register Conversion Register (P [1:0]=0h) [reset=0000h] and changing the collected voltage, the 12 bit register value read remains unchanged. 2. The lower 4 bits of the Conversion Register should be the default value of 0, but sometimes the waveform seen by the oscilloscope shows 1.
3. During IIC communication, use an oscilloscope to check the waveform. After normal communication lasts for a period of time, the waveform disappears and communication fails. The communication duration here is not fixed, sometimes the waveform disappears immediately after power on, and sometimes the waveform persists for several hours after power on. In case of abnormality, the oscilloscope displays ADS1015 and returns NACK.
4. Another normal situation was tested: setting and reading the value of the configuration register Config Register, and the data results were normal.
Please help analyze the cause of the problem or what further testing we should do.
