ADC12QJ1600-SP: JESD204C JMode Selection and Line Rates

Part Number: ADC12QJ1600-SP

We are thinking of using the ADC12QJ1600-SP in one of our designs but we have some questions about selecting J-Modes for the JESD204C Interface.

Table 8-15 in the datasheet shows the available operating modes along with their attributes (K value, E, R, Clock Range etc). It looks like Mode 14 gives us a line rate of 9.9Gbps, which ultimately gives us a LEMC frequency of 1.5625MHz using a value of E = 3 per Table 8-15 (LEMC = fbit/(66*32*E).

But, we noticed in Table 8-13 there's a note for E that states "Always set to '1' in ADC12QJ1600-SP". Are we supposed to follow the guidance set forth in Table 8-15 to calculate the LEMC frequency (E=3, LEMC frequency = 1.5625MHz) or are we supposed to follow the guidance in Table 8-13 (E=1, LEMC frequency = 4.6875 MHz).
