AFE58JD28EVM: EVM GUI software does not run correctly in demo mode

Installed "High Speed Data Convertor Pro v4.50" and "AFE58JD28 EVM GUI v1.0.4" as per AFE58JD28EVM user guide hoping to run in demo mode prior to arrival of AFE58JD28EVM and associated TSW boards

HSDC Pro launches but with popup error: "Missing subVI NI_MAPro.lvlib: Multitone Generator.vi in VI TSW1400.lvlib:Frame.vi."

AFE58JD28 EVM GUI launches ok in DEMO MODE but "Register Map Configuration" tab page opens with popup error: "Error 1026 occurred at Invoke Node in HMC-DAQ GUI Pro.lvlib:Main.vi Possible reason(s): LabVIEW: VI Reference is invalid."

Can I get DEMO MODE functional or is there a simpler GUI for generating the AFE58JD28 register contents similar to CodeLoader for clock chips?

###UPDATE### attempted installation of the above on a non R&D PC -- one that had no previous LabView development or run-time environments previously installed and HSDC Pro now launches and runs correctly but AFE58JD28EVM GUI gets stuck at launch screen "loading main.vi" so I'm guessing LabView previous installation is problematic at least but not sure why EVM GUI does not launch successfully...

OUTPUT FORMAT = JESD: 16x 14b 4ADC/Lane

ADC FORMAT = Ramp Test Pattern

DEMOD PRESETS = No Demod

VCA GAIN = Min Gain

//Setting all VCA must write bits to 1

//Setting VCA to min gain using DTGC feature

0xCE 0xE000

//ADC setting

0x01 0x0074 //Setting must write bit to 1, disabling LVDS and enabling JESD

0x03 0x8010 //Setting serialization rate to 16x, must write bit to 1

0x04 0x0001 //Setting ADC to 14 bit resolution

//JESD settings

0x4B 0x0100 //Enabling single octet per convert

Many thanks but a question arising -- did you generate these from the EVM GUI or manually from datasheet?

I have made several attempts to reinstall the GUI but so far not operational so could be that this software only functions correctly if there is hardware to connect to...

Hi,

Actually both. I took some initialization files stored at below location and added some more bits from datasheet as per your requirement.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\AFE58JD28 EVM\Config Files\AFE58JD28\AFE58JD28vA\Scripts\Quick Start\ADC FORMAT

Update -- confirmation from applications team via direct email -- EVM GUI will not run correctly until EVM hardware actually connected to PC running the GUI...
