ADS1298: ADS1298 ECG data streaming

Hi,

I am using ADS1298 AFE. My doubt is that, in ADS1298 datasheet page no.62 (fig. 70) there is one 24 bit status register along with the 8-channel data.

What is the 24 bit status register?

Is it a constant value? If yes, what is the value?

Is it reading from any register?

According to what the value will vary or what is the information we get from the status value?
