Hi team,

I'm planning on changing the DAC121S101 to following devices on a DAC121S101EVM,

DAC101S101CIMK/NOPB
DAC121S101CIMK/NOPB

do I need to use the MSP430F5529 launchpad to connect the EVM to the PC?

Hi David,

No, you don't have to. If you have some other SPI controller, you can just wire this up to the corresponding pins on the EVM. Also make sure you are providing all supplies to the EVM.

Does the customer need to re-program the MSP if they are to replace DAC121S101 with DAC101S101?(12 bits to 10 bits)

Hi David,

No, the GUI should be generic for all devices in the family. Just write 10biit aligned data to the device instead of 12 bit.
