Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TSC2003
Hi,
is there an internal pull-up resistor on the reset pin?
Can the reset pin be left floating or is any external circuitry needed?
Best regards

Please connect to IOVDD if not uses
Thank you Sanjay! I need a little bit more info now that I got more background from the customer:
They have a PCB that is already produced in small quantities at the end customer and the encountered an issue. They can solve this for now by cutting the reset line to the TSC2004. They will do a re-design later.
Is it ok to leave the reset pin floating?
is there an internal pull-up?
Connecting it to IOVDD would be much more effort.
Thanks
We do not have design details for this part as it is an old part. Therefore I am not sure about the internal pin structure.
The RESET pin is defined as an input in the datasheet . I would propose that this pin be tied to IOVDD.
That's too bad Sanjay. Thanks for checking.
Is there any chance we may have design details for other devices ot this family, such as TSC2003 and we could draw conclusions from that?
BR
I will check again. The problem is that these parts are old and there are no designers who are present.
The EVM schematic has an external pullup on the RESET Line. If we go by this as an indication we would have to assume that the pin needs to be forced externally
