what is the need of additional resistors, capacitors and diodes?

why are the two series connected diodes and resistors in NI?

When we need to populate it? how to choose Diodes for Defibprotection?

Those are provisional space/spot holders for people if they want to insert/put passive filters and/or TVS or ESD protection diodes.

Selection/choice of diodes are left to customers as they depend on products' applications, designs, electrodes, operation/usage settings&environments, compliance&regulation standards, etc.

We do not help/support design the Defib protection circuits.
