ADS8168EVM-PDK: How to correctly measure the short input noise for EVM.

Hi TIer

My customer test the input noise for short GND and Ain1.

But they get 32LSB noise. in datasheet is very small.

So I confuse that if we test it uncorrectly?

Could you give me some suggestion?

    Hello Yuxi,

    Thank you for your post.

    How did the customer short Ain1 to GND? On the EVM, it seems there is no direct path to connect AIN1 to GND. AIN1 is shorted to Input2, but this net is floating.

    Can you ask the customer to repeat the test using Ain2? AIN2 is connected to Input3 on the header P2. You can install a jumper across pins [7-8] to short AIN2 to GND.
