ADS131M08: Plotting Sinusoidal Signal with ADS131M08 (Help)

Part Number: ADS131M08

Good morning, I'm using an ADS131M08 to read a load cell. This stage is being performed correctly, creating a relatively precise balance. Now, what I aim to do is to place a load on top of the balance and make it oscillate at a frequency of approximately 25Hz. This should cause the load on the load cell to oscillate at that frequency, giving us a sinusoidal signal in relation to the weights measured for those oscillations. Since the test load is not completely fixed to the base of the balance, it causes damping jumps. The results are obtained as follows: base sampling frequency at 4096 from which I take averages every 8 samples to achieve an effective sampling rate of 512Hz. Attached are my results:

Additionally, I'm attaching a result obtained from the internet which represents what I would expect to see

  • Hi ,

Can you please monitor analog input of the ADC and capture the signal with a scope or analog input of logic analyzer? also provide RAW data from your ADC? Your actual data rate of ADC is 512sps, what's your gain configuration? It will be helpful if you could share your schematic too.

    Regards,

    Dale
