ADS1201: part substitution

We have been using the ADS1201U and have been notified it's now obsolete.

There is an ADS1201U-1 that is still active.

What is the difference between the two parts? Is the ADS1201U-1 a drop in replacement for the ADS1201U? What is the life expectancy of the ADS1201U-1?

Welcome to our e2e forum! Unfortunately there are no direct alternatives for the ADS1201, the -1 is just an ordering option for a 1000 piece reel. The closest alternatives would be the ADS1204 which has a 0-5V input range or the ADS1209, which is a dual modulator that has +/-2.3V linear input range.
