AMC131M03: Residual current monitor (UL2231-2)

Hi

There is residual current standard(UL2231-2) in the EV AC charging station(Level 2)  specification.

I want to use AMC131M03 to monitor residual current.

Is it possible?

I have an AMC131M03EVM and can I monitor  residual current on AC with this?

If possible, please let me know how.

    Hi David,

    Thanks for your patience. AMC131M03 ADC can be used to measure any voltage or current signal including residual current measurement (detection and monitoring) in EV charging stations as long as the signal is within the range and the ADC operates in the recommended conditions in the following table:

    Also, the power supply and inputs should not violate the specifications in the following table so that the safety of ADC can be guaranteed.

    AMC131M03 datasheet shows typical application and block diagram for current and voltage measurement with AMC131M03 ADC, please see section 9.2, figure 9-4 and 9-5 in the datasheet here.
