ADS1263EVM-PDK: ADS1263evm-pdk and Analog Inputs of 0v-5v

Can I measure Analog Inputs in range of 0v..5v? Or 2.5v..5v?

I'm evaluating adc1263, and I'm using the ADS1263evm_pdk evaluation kit. From what I can see it's only capable for AI ranges of -2.5v-2.5v because the motherboard is giving 2.5v reference voltage.

I guess if I supply a reference voltage of 5v it maybe possible but supplying a reference voltage of 5v will add complexity of accuracy etc that I don't know if it's a good idea .

My question is will the ADS1262evm-pdk kit be able to measure AI in range of 0v-5v without major modification?

Any help in answering is very appreciated.

Hi Sam Behashtei,

Yes the EVM can measure 0V-5V using a gain of 1

The ADC measures differentially between the analog inputs (AINP and AINN). So if you apply 2.5V to AINN, then when AINP = 0V, AINP-AINN = -2.5V. When AINP = 5V, then AINP-AINN = 2.5V. You can use the REFOUT pin on the ADS1263 to bias the AINN pin to 2.5V
