Hello,
I have a thermopile sensor that gives min-max output between -1.4 mV and 180 mV. I used the ADS124S08 integration and gave the output of the thermopile directly to the ADC integration. This is the schematic drawing of the thermopile and ADC.
When I measure the differential voltage between the ADC input P3 and P4 pins when I give 1.6 V with the thermopile connector and the signal generator, I get 1.374V measurement.
In the same way, when I connect the thermopile with the thermopile connector, I get 118 mV measurement between P3-P4 pins without giving any light and heat to the thermopile. When I measure this process on 3 different electronic cards with the same and different thermopiles, I get the same 118-119 mV measurement.
Likewise, when we take measurements on the electronic card with software, we read 118 mV through the application.
My question is, could this 118 mV be the offset value of the thermopile I use? Or can we revise this design to reduce this 188 millivolts to 0 millivolts?
If it is possible to revise the design, can you guide me on how to do it and how to do it?
